It is while she was training with the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago that Julie discovered yoga, and immediately fell in love with it. Through her yoga practice, she found that she was able to become not only a better dancer, but also a stronger person. She decided to become a teacher so that she could share the numerous benefits of yoga, both mental and physical, with her students. Julie graduated from the Pure Yoga teacher training program in New York City and became a RYT-200 yoga instructor in 2014. Julie teaches a Vinyasa class including smoothly flowing movement, while incorporating elements of her ballet training, as well as elements of Anusara, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative. In her class, all muscle groups receive equal attention, creating balanced strength throughout the body. The class is built so that the continual flowing movements allows to stretch and elongate the muscles, while they are being strengthened. In Julie’s class you can expect to sweat, workout, stretch, relax, and have fun!
