MCC is getting ready for the census with a celebration of civic participation at our center. Join us for an interactive art exhibition, representatives from the US Census to share information, a special traveling exhibit from the Tenement Museum, and fun counting activities and prizes in our programs. Every individual that comes through the doors of MCC on March 4th day will be counted so that we can share information about the life of our building–all while getting ready to be counted in the 2020 Census.
In the 2010 Census, the Lower East Side community may have been undercounted. This year, we are working to ensure that all members of our community are counted so that our community receives the resources and representation we need. Every person in our community is valuable, and every person should be counted!
