Aaron Reiss is a long-time resident of the Two Bridges neighborhood. A journalist and ceramicist by day, his work on the wheel focuses on utilitarian objects and simple glazing. While he has been working with clay since high school, he didn’t become serious about ceramics until he enrolled at EA Art School in 2013. A few years later, he relocated to Mexico City where he started doing ceramics full-time. He found a home at @el_taller_65 as it was just starting. At Taller 65, Aaron re-learned ceramics from the ground up: how to build out and organize a studio, how to turn raw minerals into different clay bodies, and how to design glazes from scratch. He could not be happier or more proud to return to EA Art School almost a decade later as an instructor in this wonderful and diverse community. You can find his ceramics work @littleshop_ofhoarders and his multimedia journalism work at www.aaronreiss.com.
