Lynn received her BFA in Ceramics at the Philadelphia College of Art (now, the University of the Arts) in 1979, and earned a MFA in Ceramics at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1983. She has shown nationally in juried exhibits and invitationals, and is a former partner of the cooperative crafts gallery, Brooklyn Artisans Gallery. She teaches wheel throwing, hand building, ceramic sculpture, and the occasional glaze calculation class at local ceramics studios and at the college level. Lynn is also the past-president of Brooklyn Potters, a not-for-profit organization of tri-state potters. The organization participates in the Empty Bowls Project benefiting local hunger relief efforts. Lynn is a native New Yorker. She currently lives and maintains her studio in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, Joe Banish.
