Doreen lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband Erik and their three children. She received her BFA in Ceramics from the University of Illinois in 1984. She then moved to Chicago and began her career as a studio artist and teacher. She was a member of Lill Street Art Center until 1996, when she got married and moved to New York. She has a ceramic studio in her house in Brooklyn. Her work has been shown nationally in juried exhibits and invitationals. She teaches ceramic classes at local ceramic studios and also teaches enrichment classes at local public schools.
