Family Resource Center @ MCC: Health and Safety

The Family Resource Center @ MCC will resume offering in-person services (i.e., care management, community wellness workshops, and ReLoved Boutique shopping hours) effective Wednesday, January 19th. Throughout the pandemic, Educational Alliance and Manny Cantor Center have prioritized the health and safety of our community members, staff, and guests. In keeping with this policy, and in following with the advice of medical partners at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, we are updating our health and safety protocols effective immediately.

VACCINATION
All adults will be required to share proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to visit the FRC or attend any in-person classes or services. If you will be accompanied by a minor 17 years and under during an appointment, please contact us ahead of your appointment to create a safety plan for your family.

If you are not able to share proof of vaccination, please contact us to set up a virtual appointment.

TESTING
We strongly encourage all community members and guests to obtain a rapid antigen test within 24 hours before your visit. The FRC will provide at-home antigen testing kits to community members who need them. To obtain a test ahead of your appointment, please email us. Please share proof of your negative result with us via email at [email protected] or bring a photo or printout of your result at the time of your visit.

We will also provide testing information and technical support for community members who need help administering a self-test. If you would like to test on-site at MCC ahead of your appointment, please arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of your appointment time to allow for your results to be confirmed.

Free covid tests can be ordered online for your household at https://www.covidtests.gov/, and Manny Cantor Center provides weekly lab-administered testing on Mondays between 7:45 and 9:45am at (address). Please contact us to sign up for a testing slot at our clinic.

QUARANTINE AND SICKNESS POLICY
Visitors to the MCC and the Family Resource Center must fill out our health screening and travel questionnaire before visiting the building. Please visit this link to make sure you are in adherence to our policies ahead of your visit.

MASKING
Community members ages two and up are required to wear masks over their nose and mouth at all times. For the most recent CDC guidelines on masking, visit their website here.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
All community members who share proof of vaccination against COVID-19 are invited to shop at the ReLoved Boutique and select food items from our Community Cupboard. The maximum capacity for the ReLoved Boutique is four community members and one staff member at a time. Shopping hours are currently by appointment only.

If an individual is not able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 we would be glad to have one of our staff shop on your behalf and then deliver the items to you in front of MCC.

We understand and respect your questions and concerns – please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you would like to discuss further by phone.   Please reach out to the FRC with any questions at (646)-395-4227.
