Resources for Families | 2Generation Programs

Families that are currently enrolled in Early Childhood at Manny Cantor Center and Educational Alliance Head Start programing are invited to participate in these additional support and enrichment programs.

2GENERATION

Our 2Generation program is the first of its kind in New York City. Our program empowers all families to thrive through high quality parenting programming, college access and employment services, and resources to achieve financial stability.

ADULT EDUCATION AND CAREER PATHWAY Offered in partnership with NYU and CUNY, free classes include pre-high-school equivalency prep, high-school equivalency prep, college prep, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

FAMILY WELL-BEING PATHWAY We provide caregivers the opportunity to develop their parenting skills through workshops, support groups and individualized goal setting.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PATHWAY Parents and caregivers have a voice in their child’s education through our Parent Policy Council. Governance training helps families learn how to fully participate and advocate for their children’s education and the needs of our community.
