Jess Leo is a Brooklyn-based artist with a deep fascination for drawing and printmaking. Receiving her MFA in Drawing with a concentration in printmaking from the New York Academy of Art, Jess has been teaching in both mediums for several years. She creates both large and small scale works utilizing simple geometric forms. Most of her work is hand drawn using only pencils to build up layers of painterly marks.

Originally hailing from New Jersey, Jess teaches at the college level both in the New York City and her home state. She has traveled for several artist residencies, including the studio residency at Mass MoCa Museum in North Adams. Her work has been exhibited in group shows within the US and has taught internationally.
