Manny Cantor Center’s Welcome to New York programming offers comprehensive solutions to migrant needs. In collaboration with several community partners, we offer various free services and workshops, including healthcare support, workforce development, and legal education. We encourage you to register and participate in a service or workshop that is meaningful to you!

Benefits Clinic
Benefits support specialists can help with applying for city-wide benefits such as NYC ID, Food Stamps, Medicaid, and Cash Assistance. *Eligibility for benefits varies*

Health Insurance Education and Enrollment
NADAP Benefit Navigators help New Yorkers enroll in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.

Workforce Development
Workforce1 helps people prepare for and connect to jobs across New York City’s five boroughs and in every sector of the economy. The topic of the presentation will be Understanding the American Workplace.

Discussion on Lawyer and Housing Fraud
A presenter from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office Immigrant Affairs Unit, Emely Salazar-Perez, will discuss tips to avoid and report housing and attorney scams.

Dental Services
Free comprehensive dental care is provided for all ages. Cleanings, extractions, fillings, and simple root canals will be performed. Services are offered every month.

Legal Education
A representative from NYLAG will provide a presentation on various topics facing immigrants. The topic of the presentation will be Navigating the Asylum Process.

New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) is offering free remote legal consultation and advice to immigrants. If you are interested in this service you can utilize the registration button to join our waitlist. When space is available a representative will contact you to set up an appointment.
Health Insurance Support
NYC Health Department’s enrollment counselors can help connect you and your family to low or no-cost health insurance options and enroll you into coverage.
