Queens based artist Thomas Legaspi has been actively working as an artist for nearly 20 years holding a MFA from the New York Academy of Art in Tribeca, New York. He has been exhibiting nationally and abroad as well as locally at Dacia Gallery in the Lower East Side. As an art educator he teaches at St. John’s University in Queens, and has taught at City College of Technology in Brooklyn. He is also returning to teach at the Educational Alliance having been associated with the art program in the past.  

While focusing on contemporary realism in drawing and painting, Thomas experiments with many painting mediums including gouache, inks, acrylic and oil. His experiences with diverse mediums and styles aids in teaching a broad spectrum of art students.
